I Have An Idea, About Ideas.

by, mira

I have an idea about ideas and how I can explore my natural curiosity.

If you ask anyone who knows me, they’ll probably agree that I’m usually always up to something. If something peaks my interest it’s not difficult for me to become a little obsessed.

When I Have An Idea, I Need To Do Something With It

I’ll be the first to admit that I can’t casually get into anything. When I have an idea I experience a strong compulsion to explore it. It’s like an itch that needs to be scratched.

My mind works in tangents, and that means that something as simple as a casual online search for some new pants can lead to me trying to trick a Victoria’s Secret employee into telling me what material their pants are made out of because after extensively researching all known yoga pants brands I narrowed down theirs to the best and I just NEED to know how they do it so that I can make my own ultra-yoga pants.

Now back to my idea about ideas.

Next I think it would be fun to format a few of my posts into threads (think twitter). I’ll start with my initial idea, and make update posts about how whatever thing I’ve started has progressed.

It would all be open ended. No obligation to actually finish my crazy ideas. Just a showcase of the journey.

Now this doesn’t mean that I often set out to make things and abandon my projects before completion. It just means that I by nature, love to experiment. I often learn a lot of useful stuff along the way too, and I’d love to be able to share some of it.

Archiving My Adventures (And Sometimes Misadventures)

The other cool thing is that it would let me be able to just pick up where I left off if I decide an older idea is worth some more exploring. Plus if people actually do like these posts, the ad revenue wouldn’t go unappreciated. After all what is a blog but a journal you can monetize?

And with that, this concludes my fist way-too-meta post that will be the first update to the first official thread of ideas. If that made any sense at all. I already started a similar series of posts called “Misadventures With Clickbait” that I had a lot of fun making.

Lastly, if you’ve stuck with me this far, take a shot you deserve it, and I sincerely thank you for reading.
